Flexible hosting: cloud, on-premise, or hybrid
Full control over where your data lives
Store your data on your own servers or use our cloud with automatic updates and high availability. Combine both in a hybrid setup and adapt hosting and operations to your requirements.
COMPARISON
Cloud, on-premises, or hybrid: Which option is right for you?
Cloud hosting means we run the software for you and take care of updates, maintenance, and availability. You can use the solution without any operational effort and keep your data automatically up to date. Our infrastructure is designed for high availability and runs on secure servers in the US and Germany.
With on-premise deployment, the software runs on your own servers. You retain full control over your data and infrastructure and decide whether to handle operations and maintenance internally or have us support you as needed.
In a hybrid setup, you decide which data stays on your systems and which is managed in the cloud. Sensitive data remains on your servers, while you can keep other content flexible and up to date in the cloud.
If you’re unsure which model fits your requirements, we’re happy to help you find the right setup in a short consultation.

Frequently asked questions about hosting
The question of cost depends heavily on the individual requirements of your company. Cloud solutions have lower entry costs and do not require your own infrastructure.
On-premise hosting, on the other hand, requires an initial investment for your own IT infrastructure. However, this can pay off in the long term – especially if data protection and control are paramount.
The biggest disadvantage of cloud hosting is the manufacturer’s server location. Some DAM providers operate their software on offshore servers outside the EU, some of which are not GDPR-compliant. This can give rise to potential compliance and data protection concerns, as well as security risks. At the same time, this form of hosting is associated with ongoing fees for operation, maintenance and updates.
The biggest disadvantage is the need for high-performance hardware. If the company does not yet have a compatible IT infrastructure, corresponding one-off costs must be planned for.
Yes, hybrid hosting is supported. With this setup, the 4ALLPORTAL application runs in the cloud (Server in US or GER), while your data remains securely stored on-premise on your own servers. This approach offers the best of both worlds: the flexibility and scalability of the cloud combined with full control over sensitive data. It ensures compliance with internal security policies while reducing maintenance efforts, as 4ALLPORTAL takes care of application updates and cloud infrastructure.
