The BGL acts as the central representative body for companies in the German garden, landscape and sports field construction industry. Founded in 1964, the association has 4,200 members and is based in Bad Honnef.

For many years, the association provided its members with materials, initially on CDs and later on USB sticks. About five years ago, it switched to a digital solution. However, it quickly became apparent that important functions were missing: there were no preview images, the navigation was cumbersome and it was not possible to evaluate the download figures.
