Our Digital Asset Management module connects Berlin

Since 1993, Berlin Tourismus & Kongress GmbH has marketed Berlin’s tourist attractions worldwide and run the Berlin Tourist Office, which offers visitors to the capital a wide range of tourism services. visitBerlin’s Berlin Convention Office also promotes the German capital as an attractive convention destination. In total, visitBerlin employs more than 190 people. Its shareholders include Partnerhotels e.V., Berlin State, Messe Berlin, Investitionsbank Berlin, Berlin’s airports and TMB Tourismus-Marketing Brandenburg GmbH.
As a major Berlin tourist agency with a variety of responsibilities, visitBerlin cooperates closely with a number of tourism partners such as hotels, airports, travel agencies and event organisers. It also works with media representatives to promote high-profile city marketing campaigns. Cooperation with partners from different sectors is therefore part of the company’s daily operations and has to be built on a firm foundation. After searching for technical assistance, visitBerlin found the perfect solution in the 4ALLPORTAL.

Using our Media Asset Management module (DAM), visitBerlin doesn’t just centrally manage its own assets like images, graphics or texts in a single system; it can also organise the work of external partners. To do this, visitBerlin has set up its own browser-based platform – Press-Kit – which different external partners can access via assigned user profiles with predefined access rights. Press-Kit is connected to the DAM, making it possible to directly approve specific event photos for journalists and automatically add them to Press-Kit. In the future, this will save time, because all files are managed on a single system.

visitBerlin also uses DAM asset libraries to create project-specific folders containing different files for different project members (like photographers, journalists and event organisers), who are then granted defined access and usage rights.

It’s really easy to coordinate our work with external service providers and partners using the 4ALLPORTAL DAM. We can give all project participants access to the necessary files, thus securing the database for everyone – whether for data management and maintenance, file sharing, or task management. The software has greatly reduced our workload, while also providing added security regarding the correct use of our data.
